Mexico City: Here are some numbers for you:

  • 100 – the number of art galleries
  • 30 – the number of concert halls
  • 10,000 – the number of seats in the city’s National Auditorium
  • And 1 – us, the lucky agency that has been appointed by CDMX Tourism Promotion Find office, or as we say, Mexico City Tourism’

Last week, we announced that CDMX Tourism Promotion Fund office has formed a strategic alliance with Hill+Knowlton Strategies, in order to promote the visit of a greater number of Australian tourists in Mexico City. In the coming months, our job will be to promote the wonders of Mexico City and position it as one of the favorite destinations of Australians – which is is.

We’re really proud of the appointment and know there will be many opportunities to promote the great attractions of Mexico City. Whilst the distance seems vast, in Australia we share many of Mexico’s tastes and preferences and look forward to building a strategy to promote Mexico City as a tourist destination for Aussies.

According to market research, Australians show great interest in Mexican culture and traditions. Mexican cuisine in particular is extremely popular in the cities of Melbourne and Sydney, with a number of Mexican restaurants and bars opening in recent years. With this and the travel appetite for young Australians, Mexico City has become a hotly sought after destination.

CDMX’s appointment of Hill+Knowlton Strategies Australia is part of a wider global alignment between the two firms, which also covers Thailand.

Keep an eye out for what’s to come. Muchas gracias, amigos!
